Knowledge transfer training workshop: Towards a Healthy City

On 18-19 January 2014, CCOUC jointly organised a 2-day training workshop: Towards a Healthy City together with the CUHK School of Architecture and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) in The Chinese University of Hong Kong campus. The workshop focused on sustainable urban development and healthy living. Climate change and urban planning were discussed on day 1, and day 2 focused more on climate-related public health issues. In total 9 leading experts in the field from academic and NGO sectors shared their knowledge to the participants. Prof. Emily Chan, Director of CCOUC had given a talk titled “Climate and Health Impact” and Prof. William Goggins, Honorary Biostatistician of CCOUC had given a talk titled “Statistical Modelling of Climate and Health Outcomes” in this workshop. The participants had acquired fundamental knowledge on these topics throughout the workshop.

Towards a healthy city
